Interesting times.
I believe there has been violence between the two over the years, just low level like breaking each others Mosque windows and the odd beatings up.
It would not surprise me if it did get very violent.

Interesting problem for the US. We and they have been busy keeping the world safe for feudalism by supporting the Saudis. The Saudis are now bombing the Houthi who are sworn enemies of ISIS and Al Quaeda.Since ISIS has been attacking both Syria and Iraq the west has been very quiet about the previously despotic Assad.
Some more nifty foot work is going to be needed here.

the Israelis must be rubbing their hands with glee as the Arabs once more kick s..t out of each other. and let's remind ourselves that 85% of world musims are Sunnis and the rest Shiites. the sunnis are of course opposed to Mohammed blood line succession whilst the Shiites believe in Muhammed divine order!the west can never turn their backs and ignore it - we are involved for many complex reasons one of them of course being oil. and the west as well as Russia are continuously supplying weapons of war - a lucrative trade for the West!

the other complexity as if there were not enough is that Iran is not of Arab descent it is only connected to the ME by religion not arabic genetics and:Iran is fighting with the west and Saudi against IS but is supporting the Shiite upsurgence in the Yemen whilst Saudi is against it - and the west doesn't know where to put it's feet next - "walking on egg shells comes to mind"
