I have heard before that they mostly attach themselves to one person, so I guess your hubby is his favourite is he?
My friend who cuts my hair has a 'Grey' too. Her husband can do anything with him, but the bird barely tolerates her.
In the wild, do they pair for life, or are they promiscuous do you know?
If they pair for life like some birds do, perhaps that would explain why they attach more to just one person?
He has a huge vocabulary Mupsy, he is a morning bird for sure and doesn't shut up, he has a morning cough too just like his human mate hehe.
When I go out to work on a morning he always shouts 'see ya' as I go out the door and I have to say it back or he keeps on saying see ya lol. Before John started working from home when he was going out the door to work John used to should See Ya to Jako but he would never say it back to John, only to me, we figured perhaps he is upset at John leaving him as he knows he would have been gone a long time (9 hours) Is my company not good enough *ppfftt*
He has my husbands voice, one evening on the phone to my dad my dad heard talking in the background and he said "what did John just say" I said, no Daddy, thats the parrot hahaha, he sounds just like John. He has my laugh though and mocks me cheeky little so and so
We have had hours of fun with our precious bird, we love him to bits.
He's also a very well adjusted bird, he's been to Spain and back when we moved there for 2 years, some parrots would have been stressed and started plucking with the upheaval, we did fear he would do that but thankfully he was happy enough and didn't pluck, we were so relieved.
He's very bold around Kodi my dog and chases him pitterpattering across the laminate, so comical, poor Kodi doesn't fancy getting a nip, not daft is he.
Ahhh I've enjoyed sharing this with you.
