Re: Respect our customs

Hi

We have customs, like letting women go shopping on their own, letting them drive, have an education etc etc.

Some wish to change these rights.

It's interesting that if you had added a smiley on the end of your post, it could have been seen as humorous but to others it is deadly serious.

Hooray! It's about time we had some of that attitude in Britain
I gather he's only made that statement because he's being threatened by Geert Wilders in the polls and there's an election looming.

Hi

Yes, but then I am deadly serious, I have absolutely no time for those who wish to treat women as second class Citizens.

Out they go.

Agreed and I'm surprised that Womens rights groups are not more forthcoming on these issues.

Re: Respect our customs

One wonders whether indeed this has been brought to the Dutch public's attention before they go to the polls because the remarks were placed in a series of full page adverts from Mark Rutte's party in a bid to woo back voters from Geert Wilder's far-Right Freedom Party which has soared in popularity.

The incident apparently refers to a Dutch coach company dismissing a job application from an immigrant when it became known that he would never shake hands with a woman because it didn't fit his beliefs.
However, the decision was criticised by a human rights body which said it affected the applicant's ability to express his religion.
Mr Rutte is stating that the coach company was quite correct in refusing to employ him because women are equal to men and when in their country, should be treated as such.

He went on to say that immigrants welcomed into their country should have never have the right to abuse the freedoms of that country.

Haven't you realised yet?

The Women's Rights Groups, Politically Correct Police, Social Justice Warriors, or whatever else you want to call them have their own priorities or pecking order

They will always go after anything white or British as that is an easy target

They do not criticise or protest about Muslims and immigrants, or just pay lip service to it, as any such issues are 'part of their culture' and thus above criticism.
