People all around the world eat things I find unpleasant to see I know various Chinese and Japanese find our use of dairy pretty revolting !

There are very many Chinese people here and I´ve yet to meet one who is rude or unpleasant. They are friendly, helpful and very pleasant. I don't know who referred to them as sub human" but I do think it´s a horrible thing to say. Then again I see people of other nationalities being described in a derogatory way on this forum and I don´t think that is acceptable either.

In Africa many people eat chickens feet, they fry them and eat them like crisps. No I haven´t tried them and don´t intend doing so.

I think if you are going to participate on a forum it is necessary to develop a thick skin Julie. Wrong or right, as long as they don't use bad language or verbally abuse other members they are just as entitled to voice their opinion as any other member.

There will always be problems when different cultures come together, this is something we must learn to be tolerant of and accept things that we find disgusting and immoral as they find in our culture....

A too sterilised forum would be a lifeless forum....

It does tend to raise that old, over flogged question of what constitutes free speech doesn't it... or what is unacceptable.

I tend toward the camp that allows the right to reply, even if it means I'm occasionally surprised at what I read and see someone having to duck as a missile heads their way.

There is no problem with free speech but racism and racist language has no place on this forum IMO just look at the criteria azz has suggested for mods he wants I believe a forum that does not use language around race like we are seeing.
