Virgin Media has been noticeably silent about the cause. I should have thought that, being pretty much a nationwide outage, they might have made some announcement on their web site. Perhaps they don't know!
I'm in the South West of the UK and I lost my internet connection for about 2 hours yesterday pm. I'm BT and frankly the service has been pants since I have had it but marginally better than Talk talk who were abysmal.
