fried chips is a load of BS, it's for people who couldn't get it right the first time. Old fashioned deep frying is an art and when done correctly cannot be beaten.
No BS involved. Just remove the chip basket when they are cooked, turn up the heat to max for 1 minute, re-submerge the chips for 30 seconds and the are done. Far superior, browner, crisper result.
