Re: unconditional love
My love for my son is 100% unconditional. If there was such a thing as 1000% then it would be that too. If you put any "buts" on that and say "there is a limit"..well it's not unconditional is it. That's not to say your acceptance of their behaviour is unconditional.Re: unconditional love
My love for my kids has never been tested so its a difficult question to answer I think we would all say its unconditional love and we would stand by our kids whatever. I can accept that there is a difference between liking and loving though for instance in the example you gave LQ how could we not loathe what the son did? and surely that impacts on feelings too. If your tolerance level is tested regularly I can understand why some parents step back... I suppose thats self preservation.Re: unconditional love
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. well that's pretty unconditional wouldn't ya say and then going back to the 'chosen ones' the Jews - they repeatedly turned away from God worshipped foreign idols etc but he hung in there for them and looks where it's got them? Maybe that's why they are still there cos it's unconditional?Re: unconditional love
