Schools aren't open, and as so many are used as polling stations surely it is a good day to run an election.

Do people need a whole day to vote?

Surely most people could find 5 minutes between 7am to 10pm to visit a local polling station?

If not, then people are able to register for a postal vote.

In the future, people will be able to vote using a digital device so the day of the week to vote will be irrelevant and only the day of the announced result will have any significance .....
