Re: Hard

Ladies can be so cruel, some watch you necking the booze all evening, then, when you are on your last legs they say "Come and have a go if you think you're HARD enough".

Knew, I'll have you know, I often wonder where they are today, cruel beggars.

Re: Hard

There used to be a few ‘Hard men’ around my area in the old days Spitty, they have all disappeared now, either dead or too old, all rendered harmless by progress, banks that rob you instead of the old way when the hard men robbed them. They were mostly known by tough sounding nicknames, ‘Hatchet Molloy’ ’The Ripper Carey’ ‘Bren gun Brennan’ all gone now, it's the soft men in suits you have to watch these days.
Although he was the complete opposite to a hard man we did have a housepainter around here called ‘One Coat Cullen’, God love him he never got many jobs, his nickname was his downfall

I know someone called John the Hat ... because he wears a hat and there's pic of him on my profile page ... this has absolutely nothing to do with being hard, because he's not but my excuse is that I'm very sleepy

Re: Hard

I remember Alex, I used to get the bus to my birds on a Saturday night, it would be about 8pm, he would turn up at the stop with a beer towel on his head bathed in blood, I would say what ya been up to this time, Some besterd bottled me he'd say, we'd have a natter and he'd get off at the Hospital, I would then get the last bus home, and he would get back on with the towel still intact, what happened I'd say, they wanted to sew me up, but I told them to F off.
He went on to murder an OAP, I never saw that coming.
