Thank you for those links Mags. We seem to have passed the test in most areas except that we don't leave any food or water out and our netting must be raised (in the event we do get some). Maybe there aren't any around here, we do have a little wooded area round the back and they would have to cross a quiet road from there to our house. Here's hoping next year then?

It's fun to read how you find them in your gardens in the UK! One of my daughters had a hedgehog for a pet a few years back - here we buy them as 'exotics' in pet shops. Loved cat food, covered itself in spit if annoyed, rolled up in a ball if anyone but Sarah came near - unless she played Eric Clapton unplugged, which he seemed to enjoy. (Not that one can read the expression on a hedgehog's face!)
