Well I peel it, then slice into circles, take seeds out, put curry powder, chilli, garlic, ginger, salt on them and fry them. When you fry them they don't go all soft and sloshy like when you boil them.

And as for marrow rum???-it makes you go blind you know,joking aside I was once a pretty good home winemaker/ brewer,Well I won a lot of prizes.

Those `country ` recipes just do not work

True young ones can be treated like courgettes, older more woody ones need steaming though.

I love marrow. It has a very light delicate taste one and I like it just lightly steamed. Nothing fussy.
