Re: UK PM was wrong to name nurses who cared for him..this is why

I wonder if the fact that they are not UK born has anything to do with the fact and that he is trying to stress the importance of incoming workers in our NHS?

It is probably Boris way of trying to convince the whole country 'Hey look UK, cheap foreign NHS labour does work'

Did it not strike anyone that the guy had been through hell, much worse than "vanilla" 'flu and was speaking from the heart after what was a close call and just wanted to express his gratitude to a couple of people who he rightly believed had been essential in getting him through?

BoJo is quite a guy, the best PM we've had since Maggie. He's highly intelligent, doesn't take himself serious all the time, and can and does act from the heart.

I rate BoJo VERY highly.

The media is full of scum who are just out to make a name for themselves. The BBC is no different. On the one hand they praise the NHS at every opportunity whilst on the other hand they invade the privacy of two nurses.

I think he had the very best of intentions naming them....and as has been said he spoke from the heart. He is a clever guy though and the fact that these two nurses were from abroad and vital to the smooth running of the NHS will not have been lost on him ....or us after his statement.

And then criticise the government for the way that they are handling the coronavirus crisis; Like the BBC are experts at virus prevention and the associated problems...

WTF do some people always look to ulterior reasons behind so many things, worse than that find them where they don't even exist? BoJo is probably one of the least likely to exploit a thing for political gain. Many things he may be, many things he is but subtle?

Just look at the awful Hillsborough disaster when he pointed out the reality that it was the awful behaviour of a Liverpool mob that caused the death of so many people and a few additional facts that went down --- let's just say not well. He could have written an article that would have spun an anti police focus but instead chose to tell an unpopular truth.

He's about as subtle as a kick in the groin, a rare thing in a politician and even more so in a PM.
