I once was asked to remove my shoes when entering a Mosque. I refused. What happened when working for BT one of the jobs was to provide a telephone coinbox in the entranced to a Mosque. It was company policy to wear steel toe capped shoes for obvious reasons . A coinbox and a telepone on a backboard was not that light.Re: Taking your shoes off.

I take my shoes off if the householder wants me too, don't bother in my own home though, nor do I make others do it in my house.
