Anything related to laundry products. Why do they have to depict only (well dressed) women doing it, as though it is the most important thing they have to do that day and if it doesn't come out perfect they will be punished for being a failure as a wife and mother!!!! Who, in the real world, goes into tears of anguish that a stain hasn't come out?????Strangely, it's always been the case... what those in the trade call a "trope"
Of course there is the relatively new alternative of the smug only-we-under-tens-can-save-the-planet brat which is even worse IMO.

The one for vanish really annoys me. This dopey mother when confronted by a stain in her child's dress tells the kid that the stain won't come out and the world is ending. Then another dopey woman shows the first dopey woman how to get rid of the stain by washing the dress again only this time in Vanish. When the stain has magically disappeared the mother tells the now mentally traumatised child that she can go to the party after all. Hurrah.
