Re: Good morning Tuesday

Morning all. 4 degrees here at the mo.

I think the council lady might be coming out to look at possible traffic slowing measures outside today, hope so.

As others say, poor puppy. It must be so scary and lonely losing her entire family in one go.
My friend always has a new pup in a small cage next to her bed at first, then sets her alarm to take her out into the garden once during the night.
Mine have got each other, so luckily there is not a problem.
Have you tried leaving a radio on very quietly?
Hope Holly feels more confident soon, and you get some rest too Jazzi.

Re: Good morning Tuesday

buenas dias all. A bit of a change in the weather today, overcast and a bit chilly. According to the forecast it's going to turn very cold by the weekend.
Nothing much on the agenda today other than a haircut this afternoon.

I hope your puppy settles soon Jazzi, they are like babies and she probably just needs a little comfort if she wakes in the night, she must feel very alone and frightened.

Have a nice day all.

Re: Good morning Tuesday

Going to dash out soon and get some cotton dust sheets to lay where I'll allow her to roam. I found a lavender spray in my bedroom and will use that on her.

Still waiting for her to poo!! Then, I'll go for a walk with her, in her carrier, on top of my sholley.

Not having luck with puppy classes or puppy parties. Been getting conflicting statements from fellow owners to say they had no issue with pups/foxes in their gardens, but the vet I phoned said wait till at least 7 days after the second vac. (Pets at Home vet, when I enquired about puppy parties.)

Re: Good morning Tuesday

Have managed to get her into a puppy class for tonight (7.30 to 8.30) and again next week, £5/class, and then they break for Christmas. I almost pleaded with her to let us come to these two sessions, but she agreed the importance of socialising at an early age. She is waiving the membership fee.

I thought you said the vet said wait till after she's had her second injection Jazzi?

We have to show their vacc. certificates to show they've been done before the puppy classes here. Then they are usually 8 weeks courses.

Re: Good morning Tuesday

She said as long as I hadn't put her on the ground, it was ok. I showed her the vac record.

She was very good and barked at those bigger than her. Many people had cuddles.

Re: Good morning Tuesday

Oh I see, she just went for socialising, I thought you meant she was actually joining in the training already - sorry.

It'll be nice for you as well as Holly. It's nice to chat and make friends with like-minded folks isn't it.
