Better idea ..why not just ban the idiot parents who cannot control their children and let those of us who still believe in disipline and manners enjoy an afternoon out?I do think family rooms were a good idea because the languge used in pubs is not always suitable for children and I think 7pm is late enough to be out with them in the pub too.

I remember when my children were younger and we use to go out with a group of friends regularly to a pub.The men would go inside and the women had to sit in the garden with the children. I felt so degraded that I even hate sitting in pub gardens now.
I say yes let your children in pubs in the day as long as they are well behaved. Evenings should only be for adults.

We have a wetherspoons locally and its always noisy as hell in there full up with buggies and kids and kids running riot!! I dont go in there anymore,I prefer to go to my local Marstons pub where they have a child/family section so they can ruin each others evening out without interfering with the rest of the customers|
