I've never taken to step counters they are a bit too random and not accurate enough for me, but if if they encourage you to get out and do some exercise Muddy then that's a great piece of kit, but if you really want to get serious about the amount of exercise you do, splash out on a GPS.....Re: 10000 steps

I've got an Apple Watch with GPS, heart-rate and all sorts of health related things built in yet I use about a tenth of its capabilities.Re: 10000 steps

None of these devices are very accurate, what I found best was to measure 50 paces, lets say (in my case) that's 42 yards, Divide 1760 yards (one mile) by 42, and multiply by 50 = 2095 paces per mile, and one mile walked takes 15 minutes, so one hour would be, ball park 8400 paces and four miles.
