Re: Back in land of living

[QUOTE=Jazzi;450908]You and your blimming oromorph, Geoff!

They need to bladder scan me three x following a wee. Had me crying out in pain, eating a then cold fish n chips, not my choice, through tears! Just had paracetamols for headache but I've done nothing but shout out to people with noisy devices! A wittering phone tone, that I hate, loud ringing, and her visitor playing a game on her fone.

I am so bad tempered right now. Now noticed bleeding from cannula. So off I go to find someone...

People keep asking me if I'm going home. For chrissakes...noooooooooo!!

Sorry folks for such a negative post.[/

You have a good moan gal - to us, the hospital, or anyone else who will listen, if it makes you feel better.

Re: Back in land of living

A good night's sleep?! Here? Even earplugs couldn't block out noise. Mirning!

Papers rustling, chairs scraping, bins emptied - and the male nurse ssshhed me when i went to loo at 10.30 cos I started speaking to him and colleague. So I answered back. Then, the stupid bint with noise phone was brushing her teeth at the basin by my bed at, listen to this, 4.45am!!!! I looked at the clock and muttered 'oh, is that quarter to five? Thanks for waking me up!' She just repeated the last bit and went back to her bed. I think it was her making most of the noise.

Waiting for bladder scan, then a nurse assisted shower. MRI at 11 then hopefully home. Seriously considering booking either a caravan away next week, just to relax, or drive myself to convalescence.

Re: Back in land of living

Been chucked out of Day Unit, now in a discharge lounge. Nice nurse making a cuppa. Hating the thought of the MRI but got earplugs and own headphones (good suggestion from a member).

Re: Back in land of living

Such a shame you have all that disturbance, last time i was in hospital i used to go to the visitors day room and sleep on the sofa. First visit i disturbed a nurse having a kip.

I bought earplugs in case i had too visit again.

Re: Back in land of living

Thanks CC. Apparently they injected steroids and a local, to help with pain. Hoping the diazepam will work too.
