Thank you for your replies, like Annie said it is nice when you can come on the forum and get help.
I still think we are paying far too much, I Our TV is a freeview TV , I shall have a look at Freesat box, we haven't cable in our street.

Re: Sky TV

£1020 a year is £85 a month, and they want another £2.50 a month off you, so it will be £87.50 a month, I would tell them where to stick it.

Re: Sky TV

Have a look online at the deals, you'll get on a helluva lot cheaper than that, only trouble is if you are on a twelve month contract with Sky, they may make you run your contract out.

Re: Sky TV

They have broken their contract by upping the cost!
I have been with them for for 17 years, I think they have had enough of my money.

Re: Sky TV

The cheapest on here with free all day calls works out at £23.75 a month with £4 extra for TV, but I don't know what channels you get. then there will be the dreaded VAT added.
But it's a lot cheaper than £85 a month.

We have decided that's it, we have had enough of continual price rises, when everybody is on a squeeze with food prices rising etc.
I should be interested in any ideas to get a good service without feathering Murdoch's nest.
Any ideas folks?
Arthur matey I wouldn't touch Sky (Remember its owned by Murdoch) with a 10' barge pole. I have Freeview and and a Freeview Plus box to enable me to record onto the hard drive for when it isn't convenient to view at the time. Having paid out the initial outlay for the Freeview Plus box there are no further costs involved.

Re: Sky TV

I agree with Jimmy that is a rip off, have you ever
thought of having SKY freesat installed It's a one off
payment of about £150 and you get about 300 channels
with no further payment and I get my broadband from
Post Office unlimited for £18 per month.
