LOL - that was my first thought and the car would be texting 'HELP what do I do now' onto your phone

You make some excellent points Traveller - that car wouldn't be able to glare like we can.

I found that car a bit spooky to be honest and I'm not sure I'd trust it completely; way too many things to go wrong on a high tech car. Plus, I'm really good at parking and never waste a chance to show-off and I wouldn't have made a pig's ear of it like that car did! How many steering wheel turns did it have to make when there was ample space to align itself with the parking space to begin with and it still went in at the wrong angle.

I'm going to spend a few moments gloating now

I'm not sure that I'd trust a driver-free car. At least if I make a mistake it's my fault not that of a computer.

This, however, is a whole differnt ballgame, there are so many potential problems doing this.

1. What if it was hit by another vehicle with a driver? think of all the problems that could cause, insurance etc?

2. What if two of these vehicles wanted the same, and only available, parking space?

3. What would happen everyone had a vehicle doing this at the same time?

4. What if it chose a private or disability spot?

Nice to see this technology but hard to see the practicality ?
I don't think I will ever use the park/assist Traveller. I agree with your points. 2. and 3. would be interesting to watch (from a distance).
