I had mine done under the Federal Government ill fated home insulation scheme. They were very quick too. My house has R7 batts suitable for the Snowy Mountains to get the cost up to the government limit. (R3.5 are recommended for my area)It certainly keeps the house much cooler in summer but in winter it is noticably colder because the house doesn't get the heat from the sun warming it through the roof. It is a pity you can't take the insulation out in winter. I suppose that is exactly the opposite to the UK.

Actually I think you are on to something ST!I've stuck my head through the loft hatch just now and given it a right telling-off and I feel sooooo much better for it.
So much so that I'm set on telling the curtains to pull themselves together later!
Haven't found any missing "a's" though..........
