Re: Tall, Poldark and handsome

New version of Poldark, Sunday 9pm BBC1. I loved the original, hope this one lives up to it

Re: Tall, Poldark and handsome

I saw the preview and the music was terrible - loud and modern!

The original Poldark actor-Robin Ellis has a bit part in the new version as a judge. Will watch it and try not to compare the two.

If they are both working from the books then this one should do well..

Re: Tall, Poldark and handsome

Didn't see Poldark the first time round but looking forward to seeing the new one as I love period dramas.
Should probably enjoy it better than if I had seen the first series as I will have nothing to compare it with.

Have you read the books, loved them growing up and then saw the original series and it was one time I wasn't disappointed with an adaptation.

Didn't go a bundle on the original series. Probably watched it cos there was nothing else on.

Dunno 'Being Human' either but have seen a pic of the new Poldark bloke .... nah probably not my type.

Somehow managed to miss the original, but I did enjoy last night's offering. Himself is quite gorgeous and the scenery isn't bad either.
