Re: Am I Unreasonable ?

Yes its only 'rubbish' which I dont complain about,Im just fed up that my neighbour chooses not to put out or bring back in the bins, even moving them over if they block the gate when she comes in/out. Our council do say that elderly /disabled people can register to have their bins collected from their house , but the collectors will not do it

Deylon, I had to tell Mum's council when she couldn't manage, and they sent stickers for me to put on her bins.
All the council stipulated was I had to leave her bins within easy sight for the men. She used to have them round the corner of a wall, so I had to move them to by the gate, then then the men were very good and took them and returned them to where I'd left them.

You say your council said the men have to do it, but don't?
Phone the council and tell them. Sounds to me like the men are just shirking their job, and if you don't report it, the council don't know what's going on.

Same here in Sussex Tessa, my mum has an assisted collection which is great for her, her front garden is huge which would cause her great difficulty getting the bins to the pavement.

Re: Am I Unreasonable ?

What is the matter with people?
You are not unreasonable this is a inconsiderate old bat who probably was an in considerate young one .
Can you have a word with her cleaner ?
Or leave a note on the bin lid for her ?
As Malcolm said it is just rubbish at the end of the day .
Is it worth making a issue of ?
Easy to say I know .
I suffer from neighbours being a pain in the butt too.

On the plus side you are getting extra exercise pushing the bins up and down the drive and exercise is always good
