Yes ... they never last long do they. A lot of bother and they're only going to get eaten !

Sausage rolls are a real pain to make and disappear in no time and there's all that HORRIBLE washing up to do

Weren't painful to me (unless I burnt me mouth - which I sometimes did), snaffling sausage rolls straight off the baking tray as they came out of the oven.

I make 5 - 6 dozen mince pies every year and freeze them, visitors always go away with a bagful

Meg, do you make a separate batch for your grandchildren without alcohol in?

A friend bought me some mince pies 'as a treat' OMG they were awful like chewing through a mouthful of lumpy porridge mixed with wallpaper paste..

I make my own mincemeat and pastry.

I haven't had any this year yet, my hubby doesn't like them so i have to have a whole box to myself Yummy! He'll be buying them at Lidl no doubt with the other xmas goodies..

My Mother alway's use to say you should make a wish on eating your first mince pie...

No Mags because the mincemeat isn't cooked the alcohol helps it to keep.
As the mince pies are cooked at 180 the alcohol should 'cook out'
