I think it’s a good maxim on forums. if you have nothing good to say then keep your mouth shut, a closed mouth catches no flies was my old granny’s advice to me when I was a wee boy, and yes it has worked for me in general.

This is a forum for God's sake not a bloody WI knitting circle !
It should reflect life with all it's vagieries warts and all ... There will be disagreements and that is to be expected and encouraged.
No name calling, no abuse and certainly no bullying, but not all goody goody posts pleeeeeese

Well for example Malcolm, I never had anything good to say about politicians, you think they are all hard working people, that's your opinion and your welcome to it. If I was to say what I really thought of them I would be barred, hence the closed mouth.

We are all different types, so the site has to cater for that.
I wouldn't want to be on a site that I had to tread so carefully or if I said, 'Boo!', I'd scare somebody to death.
I'm ever so sorry but I can't do fluffy, I'd die with the boredom!

I'd rather have a laugh, I'm not keen on serious unless the moment dictates. I must admit there have been moments like that recently.

I say nuffin as well, I also lie a bit. As in...... does this suit me, when she (a friend) has paid a small fortune for whatever it is.
