Re: Virtual reality goggles and android viewer.

Who said anything about 'strapping a TV to the front of anyone's face'?
At present it would involve a mobile phone or android device, and that would not be as close as a phone stuck to ones ear hole.

I can't see why something like an ipod touch wouldn't work. I know iTunes sell apps like virtual dinosaur. Perhaps a visit to a games shop would answer your question. I would also be interested to know.

It would. I have been searching today for more information.
From the 'App Store' I have downloaded 'Roller coaster' on to my iPad. It is a very basic app. It could also be loaded to an iPod touch. ( I can to my OH iPod if needed.)
There is some interesting stuff out there.
I have ordered one of these for starters.

No the iPad is too big. They will take a device from 3.5" to 6". Shame really, as the smallest android device is 7".
Unless someone knows different.

So can the goggles be connected to the ipod? Or does it work via Bluetooth?

The iPod is installed into the goggles. If you go look at the eBay link, it explains how it works.
Also included is a Bluetooth controller. For games I suppose.

Ah soz, I read the bit where you said you downloaded an App to your iPad, and thought you would be using that.

Daft me.

Re: Virtual reality goggles and android viewer.

Further to my searching for a suitable android device, on eBay there are cheap mobiles with 5" screens (£35) that should do the job.
I will wait until I get the goggles ans see what size will fit.
