I just found out today, speaking to my father in law (94 yrs old), that he and Peter Vaughan were good mates and played for the same cricket team in Datchet back in the forties before he became famous, a small world sometimes... .

Doesn't anybody remember him in Fox? I think it must have been early 80s and was about a dodgy family (The Foxes) in London. He was the father and most of his kids were involved in the criminal underworld. It was really good.

I remember that, it was brilliant

Larry lamb, Bernard Hill and Ray winstone were all in it

Loved watching it as it was filmed up the road from where I grew up

GReat news! I just found DVD of whole series of Fox so am ordering it!

It was a great series I remember it well.
I also thought he played a good part in Citizen Smith "Power To The People".
