I've just realised that this is the first day of Lent!
Now being a fine upstanding Christian type of person, ok ok so I'm not, but my mum and dad did their best!...when I was growing up we all had to give up something for Lent.
Heaven knows why...something to do with Self Sacrifice if I remember correctly.
It was usually sweets, which was great because I don't have a sweet tooth so no hardship there
Anyway I've given up APOSTROPHES for Lent!
So all you ignoramuses can post your photo's and moan's and it's and thing's and I won't say a word
What are you giving up then?
Booze?
Curry?
Exercise?
Argueing?
I will be giving up telling people how to spell arguing.
Lent 2018 began on
Wednesday, 14 February
and ends on
Thursday, 29 March
What happens if you don't give anything up? Will you be shot or something? And who is keeping a check on you anyway?
Do what you like in life, nobody's looking over your shoulder...apart from your own conscience.

I totally agree with you Floydy.
I just answered the question.
Actually, I'm giving up nothing.
