thank you so much everyone i just love this forum and the lovely people here.

I have been out tonight with my OH, its been ages since we have had a night out together

I am so tired now so will be off to bed after a quick look around the forum

Hi all

What a day I have had to start my holiday, I got a call early this morning from my dad, my mum had fallen down stairs and was in hospital, we rushed to the hospital, she had broken her hip, and has other minor soft tissue injuries which are not severe, she has a lump on her head the size of a goose egg, and she was in a lot of pain when we got to the hospital.

We have only just returned home, they got her into surgery early evening and she is still sedated but stable.

I know she will be fine and I must admit it was a shock for us all, I have just poured myself a very large glass of Brandy
and might even have another before I go to bed, I cannot quite believe my first day on holiday was spent in the hospital I work

So sorry to hear about your Mum's accident, Kitty ....... I hope the pain will ease soon and she will be more comfortable....

Oh no what a shame Sorry to hear about your mum and hope she goes on ok Kitty and what a shock for you all. Its a good job you hadn't planned on going away Looks like you'll be seeing a lot more of your hospital in your two weeks off. Hope the brandy went down well
