I think some people just like to read posts but haven't got a lot to say themselves or lack the confidence to post. I have noticed on sites you tend to have a core of regular posters which grows slowly but steadily over time, occasional posters and transient members .

I haven't posted for several months, because there were too many other demands on my time. But I'm dipping in again now.Some sites do have a "time-out" system which restricts or prevents access if you haven't posted for x months. But I think the flexibility of being able to come and go is important.

It's sad when regulars just disappear. We know Dinahsmum is busy with the grandbaby, but where is Nero? Nuttygran said she'd be off for a while .... ages ago!! Suey rarely posts much now, or Anna. Rockrider? Fridge Magnet was going to Scotland, does he have no Internet there? You do wonder .....|
