Re: Favorite Films
Only for serious film buffs (fanatics like me ?)
Back in the 1980's HBO made a mini-series called "War and Remembrance". It is 28 hours long and definitely worth buying. Staring: Robert Mitchem, Sir John Gielgud, Victoria Tennent, Robert Morley, Sharon Stone and Jane Seymour.
It is the historically accurate, story of the fictional Henry family during World War 2 but it is not, repeat NOT, a war movie as such. Yes, there are semi-brief looks at various "action scenes" but there is no blood and gore.
It has an in-depth look at the Holocaust. However, it is mostly about the relationships during the war.
One heck of a piece of great film making.
