I was trying to make the point that not all British teenagers are useless, those that have a proper upbringing, a proper discipline in the home, are far more likely to be snapped up by employers. Aucherdarder school is probably one of the few still left where pupils are taught to respect the teacher that's one half of the equation, the other is a good teacher like your sister, put the two together and you have a winning combination.

So many schools have neither it's hardly surprising there are so many young people unemployed.

Re: Same old Labour

Being a member of the Communist Party is so 'last century' Joe. As for your close proximity to Caroline Lucas then I hope that you enjoy your association with her, seen her on tv and she seems to be a nice person. However Old Son, I just cannot see what the Greens hope to achieve, Some scientists are now saying that there is no global warming and that we are in the beginnings of a mini ice-age such as that which froze the River Thames over a couple of hundred years ago.
As for the Greens condoning wind generators, it is about time that they and all like them who praise these damned monstrosities, used their brains to realise that they are the biggest confidence trick of all time. They are just very expensive, useless eyesores that in themselves are polluting this land of ours and the coasts around it.

Derek, Global warming and the possibility of a 'mini ice age' are not incompatible with one another - the melting of the polar ice cap means millions of tons of cold water pouring into the Atlantic Ocean, this in turn diverts or even turns off the Gulf Stream which keeps these shores in a temperate climate. If that happens then the whole of North Western Europe will suffer the same weather conditions that persists in the corresponding latitude in Canada.
