When I first came to live here in 1994, we'd see much more of the mallards. They came almost every day during the Summer months. Usually 3 (2 drakes and a duck). The duck was very gregarious and I'd hear her quacking at the front as if she was telling me she needed to feeding She almost ventured inside once or twice, but was put off by our dog. Susie would never have harmed her, but our lovely duck didn't know that. I named her Deirdre and her male companions Douglas and Donald. Douglas had a white mark on his front.

All great photo's I love the wild life, still can't catch a one of the Heron he's a crafty bird.
