Re: Prince Philip hurt in car crash,

I am just wondering if the queen etc have any exemptions to seat belt wearing, when I had my breast surgery I had a letter from my doctor exempting me from wearing one, pretty much open ended until I felt comfortable with one on. Perhaps they have exemptions medically ? I would imagine they would just need to ask to get whatever they wanted, unlike us having to prove we can't wear one.

The passenger in the other car is pretty deluded expecting flowers and cards and personal apologies, anyone ever hit me in a car has been very unapologetic as they try to worm out of taking the blame even if it was their fault.

I doubt the royals would get in touch personally with anyone they have people do it for them. Made me laugh the message they sent the woman couldn't understand, that was more a lack in her ability to understand English spoken by posh people than anything else.

The police have had 'suitable' words with old Philistine. That's nice.

English spoken by posh people ?????
And yes they darn well should have sent something the woman was hurt .
For someone who can't stand rich people these are a lot of excuses for one of the richest families in the world.

Haven't you noticed many have a strange turn of phrase rest of us wouldn't get away with using, sort of 18th century legalese. Jacob Rees Mogg does it quite a lot. Most of us would be called out as being patronising or plain daft but being posh he gets away with it.
