Re: Judy Finnegan

Yes I hope they are found and laws seem to be changing to make it possible to punish them.

I saw somewhere other day calls to make on line anonymity illegal and make everyone accountable for their own words. I am not sure myself how I feel about that, in principle I have no problem using my own name etc just worries me people could use the information and cause problems in real life for people.

Thomas Hardy's "The Trumpet Major" was one of the books I had to study for GCE way back in the mist of times. The other book was "Youth and Gaspar Ruiz" by Joseph Conrad must say I enjoyed them both.
However nit picking our way through the Shakespeare's "As you like it" that was different and should count as an undeserved punishment.

I loved pretty much everything we had to read in school English - Shakespeare, Chaucer, Milton, Browning, Wordsworth, Conrad, T.S.Eliot, Hardy, A.E.Houseman etc etc. - Austen was the only one I could not abide at any price.

You were lucky you only got Austen MickB, I got Cider with Rosie (Laurie Lee), to this day the mere mention of that book brings me out in a cold sweat.

I definitely think so Mags. I felt for her in the start of this thread, but feel even more sorry for her now. She's been ripped to shreds. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

Edited.

Re: Judy Finnegan

Allsorts aside - think it's the end of the road here. Hope Judy can recover from this awful situation and from the people who made it much worse for her.
