Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Thank you Leia, I do appreciate it very much. I've been sounding off on this thread about the whole process which started with a simple x-ray.

But it's good for me, gives me an outlet, and other members have been fantastic.

I've opened my curtains and toast with raspberry jam will be my breakfast.

Thanks AnnieS - you are someone who has proved very helpful with advice for me, too.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

Thanks, Mags, only just over 3 hours now - I'm thinking of walking to the hospital as I have to walk 20 minutes to the nearest bus stop, which is in the opposite direction anyway.

Also I plan on visiting the same chap I saw on Monday again - don't think he has many visitors and he is such a cheery bloke despite circumstances.

You sound a lot more positive in yourself Ffosse and going out more is good for you and will help you ... well done

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

I need it to counteract the weight I put on due to the steroids, but find a slow walk very therapeutic - I normally rush around everywhere. If I leave here at 10:50, walk slowly, I'll still be in plenty of time for my appointment.

In general, I wonder how many interesting things I've missed out on by rushing around from A to B. I get impatient with motorists, other pedestrians for dawdling.

Re: I've had my chest x-ray

They don't have the biopsy results in yet after 11 days - I wish they had just phoned me. Still, they took my weight and blood.

They did reiterate that they thought this was a Lymphoma which would be good, but fundamentally I must wait until 12 noon next Thursday and just phone in if I get sick in the meantime.

A bit of a downer, really.
