Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Took Rob's truck to the garage this morning and went on up to the Royal Welsh only to discover that the person I was supposed to be meeting had called in sick! Managed to get a car from the garage to go home, only for them to phone me an hour later to say that the brake calipers were seized and would need replacing (over £200 EACH), OOO-ER! Parts not in stock so van is still in Builth and I am driving an aged Avensis - just like a tank.....Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Cars are a mixed blessing Sue . When mine "dies" I think I will pack in driving . Its probably cheaper to use a taxi for what I need because its expensive to keep a car on the road .Re: Over 50's Wales club (part 6)
Thunderstorms forecast for us, but it's wall to wall sunshine again out there, so a thunderstorm will be a big surprise. Off to Cardiff this afternoon with granddaughter, a friend and her granddaughter and another friend to see "War Horse". (Have seen it already in London, but can't wait to see it again).
