I just read it on BBC news website. Andrew Harding (BBC reporter) was tweeting on the site as it was happening. Never used Twitter, but reading it on the BBC site was like firsthand info!

Basically I feel he got away with murder - I don't think it was cold-blooded, planned murder, I think it was hot-blooded, in the spur of the moment - in the heat of an argument murder. The judge was very vocal on "mercy" for the perpetrator as a component of justice, but didn't seem to show any compassion for the victim - just coldly referred to her as "the deceased."
I would have thought that 15 years with no possibility of parole would have been more appropriate.

Celeb status - counts for a lot doesn't it
He was texting another girl he had on the side before the murder - I believe Reeva became aware and an almighty row ensued !

Doesn't seem enough but I would imagine as a disabled person in their prison system he may well wish he never did it. No special treatment I am told for the disabled in their prisons.

I too really feel that he has got away with it. I wonder what the family will do, whether they will contest the outcome.

Don't know if they would want to drag it on anymore though.

Feel really sorry for them, I don't think they have got justice at all.
