Back then you filled in a form and they sent you 6 numbers to call and make a date with, first person was odd and I wondered if I was doing the right thing but second person I met was love of my life and we married 6 weeks after we met.

Totally agree Kim. Unless it's someone who will enhance your life, then it's not worth it. Not everyone has to have someone in their life to make them happy

I'm not sure I'd do online dating but I did meet someone online in a forum like this one, he lives in the USA and eventually I took to the skies and met him!
We had a wonderful romance which lasted more than 4 years, the only reason it couldn't work out for us was I couldn't live over there nor could he live here as we both had family commitments.

My dating days are well and truly past thank God, I never used a dating site so I wouldn't know anything about them good or bad, but I do wish you good luck Kim.

Reading this thread whilst watching Judge Rinder and there is a case where a lady met a man on a dating site he turned out to be a male escort. She didn't actually know what he was and how she had been duped until she took him to court for money she had "loaned" him from their first second and third dates. She was looking for £250 from him as this is how much she had "loaned" him and he was counter claiming for the balance of money she owed him for his services which he'd calculated to be the sum of £2000. Imagine finding this out on television! So beware as I will too there are a lot of sharks out there in the sea. Poor woman had no idea!
