Re: Pet Hates, Whats Yours.?

I think one thing I dislike is someone who says they are going to do something, or see to something, and doesn't - often having had no intention of doing it in the first place.

How long have you got? Swearing - verbal diarrhoea on mobile phones - litter louts - cold callers - upward lilting voices that aren't asking questions - screaming ill behaved children - and much, much more ....

''Pet Hates, Whats Yours.?''

I think age has mellowed me in as much as things that once bothered me no longer do so, I just walk away these days and concentrate my mind on other things if something annoys me.

As the age '70' approaches at speed I am just grateful to still be around to 'hate ' anything.

Re: Pet Hates, Whats Yours.?

Another pet hate of mine (3 actually) are:

People who make so much noise when they slurp their tea or coffee.
People who speak whilst eating and.......
People who clear their throat and nose loudly whilst I am eating!!

Yuk, the last one really puts me off my food!

People who drive along with their music blaring, really annoy me.

Turnstiles, queue control barriers that make you walk in zigzags, rotating doors, electronic passport face recognition that doesn't work properly.

Re: Pet Hates, Whats Yours.?

Lengthy queueing for service in shops, pubs etc

You're trying to give them business (hence profit) and they contemptuously refuse to provide enough staff.
Might be OK when one is 20 - but if an older person has a bad back or knees or whatever, it can be bloody painful - particularly on hard floors or carrying an armful of their merchandise..
