Re: Going without gadgets

There is absolutely no way I could give up either owning or using gadgets.
I have gadgets galore.
3 IPads, and IMac 27" Computer, an Apple Air Laptop, a Samsung laptop and other stuff too numerous to mention. Every month I buy Mac Format, What Hi Fi and Stuff.
I also have delivered Computer Active and Web user fortnightly.
I could say a lot more, but I am getting to be a bit of a bore now!

I still have plenty of time for all of that Goldie.
And we went out on the town last night to dance and have some fun at a local hotel.
AND we are off out tonight to Jazz.

You believe me Goldie, life is for the living, and....

I continue to get Computeractive delivered. I've bought every single copy of the mag since it started.

Nice one Jazzi.
So have I, but of course most of them have had to be binned, otherwise I would have to many. I tend to keep 2 years worth in a folder.
But what about it's sister magazine, Web User.
Don't you buy that then?
Because it is really good.

I've bought WU just a few times, whereas CA gives me what info I need and want. It's taught me quite a lot and is an easy read. I still have years and years worth to sort out and get rid.

Re: Going without gadgets

Does that include the many Kitchen Gadgets we are all persuaded that we can’t possibly live without?
Most end up in the back of the cupboard.
Charity shops are full of them.

As Small Blender, a Hand Mixer and Slow Cooker are useful
The latest gadget is a Spiraliser, even Electric ones
Who wants to eat Courgette Spaghetti every day? Or, Carrots made into ribbons or matchsticks
Rabbits don’t, and whole carrots are good for your teeth and gums as well

Most Chefs use very sharp Professional Knives and only use Professional large Commercial Mixers if catering for large numbers.

You can taste the difference in food or Cake mixed by hand, with a Balloon Whisk or Fork.

Re: Going without gadgets

We go without the Internet often, sometimes nature's to blame, and other times it's because we switch off.
It's wonderful.
And we survive!
