I go to Mallorca (or sometimes Andalucia) every year at least once, mainly inland to enjoy the atmosphere and walking. One of the things that I love is that my diet there is full of tasty fresh fruit and vegetables, always so much better tasting than at home. Apart from the climate, what are the things that you value most about where you live?
(Then I'll shut up for a while!)
You don't have to shut up orang-utan, I agree to do this and I have nothing to hide (well not too much anyway). Okay, so what do I value most here? I think first I will have to say the help and friendship of some lovely people of varying nationalities. Our health service, also important, is excellent. Our local doctors have a paramedic on duty all through the night for emergencies, or we can go to the hospital emergency. We too love the fresh fruit and veg, being able to buy 3 lovely melons for 1 euro when they are in season is bliss, we have some lovely places for walking, we have various beaches within 10/20 minute drive, wonderful views of the mountains and the med from our house, lovely vets for the dog, beautiful places to visit, especially Cartagena and Murcia city, I even like the summer storms with the warm rain, not that we ever seem to get any these days. I like everything I suppose, there must be something I don't like but the only thing I can think of right now is the summer traffic on the N332.
