Re: Out for a Run
My relaxed heart rate is below 60 beats per minute but am currently monitoring my blood pressure. The doctor likes older people who have their own BP machines to take readings over a 10 day period. It's done by way of a spreadsheet template that can be downloaded from the Practice's site. Currently on day 5, which how I know my heart rate and blood pressure.
Although the heart rate is good, the blood pressure is perhaps a bit high, typically 145/83. I don't know if that's high enough to be put on tablets or not. If so, I'll take the tablets and keep riding the bike.
I put quite a lot of effort into riding. Lord knows what the heart rate and blood pressure are at those times. Oh well, I can think of worse ways to go than falling off my perch while out in the countryside riding the bike.
