I hate spiders but I hate to kill any living creature so I catch them in a glass and relocate them. I just looked at the picture of the False Widow Spider and yes although I live in the North (Yorkshire) I have seen them in my garden.

I am not convinced the story is true. We always have at least one huntsman spider in the house, but I've never seen one big enough to carry a mouse up a fridge.

I have a feeling most of Australia's spiders are nasty ones, but they must have some that are not. Some times the bigger the spider the less dangerous it is, yet a tiny one packs enough venom to kill a human. Weird that!

Spiders? That takes me back to Christmas 1970-I walk in and my girl friend goes white and screams. Her dad rushes out-is my daughter being raped?

No, it's the other way around.

Red Back spider bites can make adults very sick and the Sydney Funnel web spider can kill I believe.

I was bitten by a redback whilst climbing a mango tree when I was about 9yo.
Many moons ago now - but I recall it was not fun.

I dusted my bedroom yesterday-spiders tried to sue me for unlawful eviction.
