You're probably right. That's another thing that I cannot get my head around. The fact that space is infinite; without end.
I have sometimes philosophised(!) about what would happen if I could travel through space at a speed faster than light, and for an unlimited amount of time. What would I see beyond the blackness? Would I eventually arrive at a completely different place: no stars, no planets, some sort of room, or something I cannot even imagine right now?
