Re: Going shopping
I quite often do an inventory of what's in the fridge, freezer and cupboards (kitchen and lounge). I also write a list of what I need.
Then I sometimes forgot to take both with me and have to commit to memory. And if I do remember them, I will invariably buy whatever is not on the list, thus adding to the total. But if I'm really being good, and working to a budget, I take a calculator and add up as I go along. Yes, even working out the loose veg. Easy. Sometimes I have been scarily accurate at the checkout.
Today I had both lists, and the inventory showed I still had toilet paper and kitchen roll, but I still bought one of each. Well, you can never have too much, can you? One thing I don't need is bath products!
