Re: £2000 pram

My pushchair for my youngest son cost £5.99 from Mothercare in 1980
Heard a few weeks ago that these kind of expensive prams
are being stolen left right and centre.
Big black market in expensive prams. So buy one with a guard dog I think

Re: £2000 pram

My apologies that the link didn't work. Thanks Michael
I had a pram for my children .. but I preferred the buggy that we bought for our own use with the grandchildren.
I notice these are more like pushchairs, which you don't see now either.
It's obviously just a gimmick, for those with more money than sense I think

Re: £2000 pram

personally don't like it I found it on the Daily mail site,it is a buggy type not a proper pram. my friend has double buggy which she uses so her 2 Jack Russells can ride in when they're tired, it also helps her walking, replacement hips.

Re: £2000 pram

I had a big Silvercross Coach Pram, black with the Rose on the side (remember them) and I loved it. I walked everywhere in those days and it was grand, it had a metal tray underneath and a pram bag on the end so there was plenty of room for shopping, Baby faced me so I could see what they were up to and also talk to them. They cost a fortune new and I was lucky to get an almost new from my Parents as a present otherwise I'd never have been able to afford my dream pram. Did both of my Babies and I was so sad to see it sold when they'd grown out of it. But another new Mum was delighted with it as I was before her.

Re: £2000 pram

I had one of those in 1971 Roxy. They were great for long walks and you could stick things underneath like shopping and nappies and bottles if you were going anywhere. I used to bring it in the house and put it in the hallway and let them sleep in it. I remember mine when I was younger as I remember the hood over my head. Then my sister was put in it and I had to walk alongside it laugh. Those were the days. No cars just your legs.

We were put out in the garden in our pram as one did in those days. I don't ever remember my Mother pushing it anywhere, she always took the car.

Re: £2000 pram

Never had a car until I was about 15 so all us girls were walked everywhere and the big old pram did us all fine. Even remember my Nan bringing a sack of coal home in it one december, her employer gave it to her for christmas.

Oh what a pity Willow, I have memories of being pushed in the park and it's always sunny

I don't think it a pity at all, but each to their own.
