Re: Yet another dog mauled to death

Laugh at me as much as you like, many people have and will probably carry on doing so. As long as I am allowed to laugh at them too I don't mind.

I think you need to check out the meaning of the term "discussion" - you may not agree with my opinion that the current concern about dogs is largely a media-inspired "moral panic." but if that is the case, provide arguments against it, don't just dismiss it as "nonsense" and "condescension." That isn't discussion, it is the adult equivalent of putting one's fingers in one's ears and going "Can't hear you! You smell!"

I can live with that. A good compromise. I just struggle a bit to see you laughing is all. I would prefer it though that you don't preach at me and I don't preach at you. Now that solution would be awesome .

I have a sneaking suspicion that anything I write - or probably anyone else writes - undergoes psychological evaluation by you first and your replies will be constantly emphasised with meaningful psycho-related quotes all over the place to back up any reply. We had a fair bit of that from 'Mr Indoctrinated Religious Person' that frequented this place a short while ago. Hopefully though you won't be adding loads of YouTube clips along with them .

Thank you Julie.
No I won't laugh...the subject matter holds no humour to me.

I'm pretty much diametrically opposite to "Mr Indoctrinated Religious Person" as I'm neither religious nor indoctrinated - I do tend to analyse things objectively (as objectively as I can) and look at things logically rather than emotionally wherever possible. My philosophy is that of Benjamin Franklin

"Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear!"
The only YouTube clips I look at are musical ones so you are safe from that at least!

Still seem a bit heavy on the old quotes for my liking. I have a tendency to make comebacks for excessive quoting by quoting Confuscious or someone and half of it I make up just for the hell of it. Still if you want to reel off all these wonderful quotes you are free to do so. Who am I to argue the point.
