Yep, easier to draw with. Thinking of trying one of those propelling pencils, I have a beautiful old camera I would like to draw, not very technically minded though, rather better at natural objects.

Do try pastels Nom, very good with watercolours, you can spread both pastel & charcoal with a wet brush, gives soft effect.

Not really a doodle. More a sketch. A sketch of my left hand. It was for a bit of practise. Never bothered to erase the 'help' lines.

I find i rather like things in an unfinished state. A friend draws birds and just applys a light watercolour wash in his field sketchbook.

Thank you UJ and Mariska ~ he does look Russian in that one but he was British (obviously not very good quality !) and came from the RSPCA
