LOL so I am well qualified to comment then as I watched my parents tear each other apart. Really everyone is qualified to comment as it's only hearing everyone's views we can get anywhere near the truth of a problem.

Re: Domestic Violence

I've always been a great believer in that you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. People want to put up an ordinary front. They don't want the shame of all that.

I feel desperately sorry for anyone living with domestic abuse. They must be living a life of walking on broken glass. No one deserves that. Yes, the abuser might have mental health problems, but they are problems that HAVE to be addressed, sooner rather than later. There's no excuse.

The Police spend a good percentage of their time answering domestic abuse calls. It's more common than we like to think. The hospitals are full of victims. I have come across a victim in my time and you would never have realised in a million years she had been battered by her husband. They looked like the perfect family. Most of the time the abuser is very cunning.

Depends what the illness is surely, many people hold down responsible positions and cope.

I agree with you in that only if you've walked in someone's shoes then you can understand what it's ACTUALLY like. You can imagine, but you can't quite know. I have never experienced domestic abuse, but can only imagine.

I am supporting no one, I am saying everyone deserves a second chance particularly if what he is accused of doing really has nothing to do with his job. I think he should be voted out by his constituents not by a kangaroo court baying for blood.

It is a secret shame..you are hit..hide your injuries..by then your self esteem is zero..

And then you question yourself..''Am I a bad person..lazy...do I not do enough??

After more blows are rained upon you..you turn into what your partner originally accused you of..
